Triple conversion superhet
In a triple conversion superhet, the RF signal coming from the antenna is converted to generate an intermediate frequency more then once, in contrast to the double conversion superhet, the conversion step is done three times. This technology is used in some sets with a very low third IF and in wideband sets covering frequencies ap to the UHF range, in which these are converted in a lower frequency range (e.g. frequencies from 1 - 2 GHz in the 0 - 1 GHz range).
