Hallicrafters SX Receiver Series

All Hallicrafters shortwave receivers with a model number beginning with "SX-..." are superhet receivers with integrated crystal filters, this difference against the cheaper sets without the X will stand for improved performance (and higher price...). A "-U" suffix does indicate, that the set is equipped with a "Universal transformer", i.e. it can be switched to different voltages and can be used from 220 V mains as found in western Europe.
